1. Who this applies to
- Employees of client organizations using Margh for volunteering activities
- Client organization administrators (HR/CSR teams)
- NGO/nonprofit partners listed on the platform
- Visitors to margh.org
2. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Name, email, phone number, job title, and profile details
- Content you create on the platform — volunteering sign-ups, event registrations, photos, comments, feedback forms
- Information provided by your employer/organization administrator on your behalf
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, actions taken
- Device and connection data — browser type, IP address, device identifiers
Information from integrations: If your organization connects Margh with internal HR/SSO systems, relevant profile data may be shared with us to enable login and access.
Note: Margh does not process or handle payments/donations directly. We provide technology and strategy to help corporates plan, manage, and track their CSR funds and volunteering programs; any actual fund transfers happen through your organization's own financial processes or a third-party payment processor separately engaged by your organization.

- Provide core platform features (volunteering listings, sign-ups, tracking, dashboards, reporting)
- Personalize your experience and log you in securely
- Generate CSR/volunteering impact reports for your organization's CSR/HR teams
- Improve platform features and fix issues
- Communicate important updates, confirmations, and reminders
- Provide customer support
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties.
4. Data storage & international transfers
Margh is operated from India, but our clients and their employees may be located anywhere in the world. Your data may be stored and processed on cloud infrastructure located both in India and internationally. Wherever your data is transferred, we take reasonable steps to protect it in line with this Policy and applicable law.
5. Data sharing
We only share data with:
- Cloud infrastructure providers, to host and run the platform
- Your employer/client organization, since data generated by you belongs to your organization for CSR reporting purposes
- NGO/nonprofit partners, limited to what's needed for you to participate in a volunteering opportunity
- Government or regulatory authorities, if legally required
We do not share your data with advertisers.
6. Data retention
- Profile data is retained while your account is active, and for a reasonable period after in case of reactivation.
- Volunteering activity data belongs to your employer/client organization and is retained, returned, or deleted per their instructions upon contract termination.
- We may retain anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely for product improvement.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Request a copy of your personal data
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Contact your organization's admin to manage access, since they control your account
Some requests may be limited where we are legally required to retain data, or where doing so would affect the rights of others.
9. Children's use
Margh is intended for use by employees of client organizations (18 years and older) and is not directed at children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the platform or by email.
